Start-up Storyteller: A pilot project for non-profits with limited time and/or means, this two to three-week project helps organizations begin to build their narrative as well as 2 to 4 key deliverables. Local Story will provide our expertise and process to support this project. The Start-up Storyteller can also include introductory training sessions for staff.
Sustainable Storytelling Project: Using our proven methodology for delivering sustainable storytelling, a typical year-long project develops social media videos (60-120 seconds), a website video (2-4 minutes) that is often used for fundraising activities, 100-200 photos, and a trained staff member in storytelling (photography, video, post-production, etc). Local Story tries to structure partnerships over a series of several visits, generally 3. This structure allows us to develop stories over longer periods of time, building trust within the communities you serve, capturing change over time. It also improves the training, as we’re able to start with basic concepts and gradually build upon them until your staff member(s) is capable of producing stories on a regular basis.
Comprehensive Storytelling Service: Our three-year project builds upon our Sustainable Storytelling Project, with three to four annual trips. Your trained staff member continues to receive support with both in-person and virtual check-ins by Local Story staff. The comprehensive service includes a social media engagement plan with regularly updated analytics, with social media content informed by the data. Local Story can ensure that the right content is reaching the right audiences based on the data, feedback culled from audiences, and our experience working with non-profits. We can organize and automate all of your content so you can get back to doing the real work!
Virtual Trainings & Workshops: We work with both for-profit and nonprofits on developing scripts, and producing learning modules that can be watched by your staff around the world.
In-Person Training & Workshops: Customized for each nonprofit, training and workshops can be based on storytelling methodology, videography, editing, and nonprofit communications.
